portraits, older people and their art

These are some photographs I made during my artist residency at the Carter Burden/Leonard Covello Center for the Aging in East Harlem, last May and June. My studio was on the 3rd floor near the art room so I had a lot of interaction with the people who took art classes there.

The images in the show are color copies of collages made from color copies. Printed on 32 lb. 100% cotton paper, matted 9.75 x 7.75 in 14 x 11" frames.

The show is up through September 15, 2014. The Covello Center is open 10 - 5, Monday thru Saturday. Best way to get there is the #6 train to 110th and Lex, walk East to 2nd Ave  and 109th. It's between 1st and 2nd Avenues.

very very last day

June 30th. Monday.
I'd left some paper, a few images, glue, mat knife and ruler.
